A monumentally stylized head of a woman. Her head is tilted slighty to the viewer's right. Her eyes, nose, and lips are large and almost mask-like. She appears to be wearing a hat of a modern style. Shading is executed with powerful parallel lines and cross-hatching. The year of the work's execution, 1916, appears in the lower right.

This dark print shows a brown rectangular frame around a space with a pale yellowish-green concave area on the bottom fitted with a blue convex area above. Thick black straight and wavy lines cover the blue and yellowish-green areas.

The dark color pallette and the moon indicate that the image is set at night.  There are people standing in the water, bending over in search of fish. Others stand on the bank, helping with the fishing process. Also shown are the silhouettes of a bridge over the water and the mountains in the distance.
